A Living History Guild - Revolutionary War Re-enactment Group.

The 4th N.Y. Regiment was one of the original four regiments of the Continental Line formed by the New York Provincial Congress in June 1775, in response to a call from the Continental Congress to form America's first Army. It was to be comprised of 10 companies of 72 men each. Most of the men in the 4th, came from Dutchess (which contained part of Putnam County) and Westchester Counties, with some men from Richmond, Kings and Queens County.

The 4th N.Y. Regiment of the Continental Line is a Living History Revolutionary War group. Our purpose is to accurately portray the 4th N.Y. Regiment, both in 1775, at the beginning of the Revolutionary War, and the other formations of the 4th N.Y. Regiment throughout the War.

We also portray the Local Milita and Crown Forces (Red Coats and Loyalists) for some events.

Our members belong to the Living History Guild and the Brigade of the American Revolution (B.A.R.). We are also affiliated with the Continental Line.
