MERIT-CUM-MEANS SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Awarded by

 

1.  AMU Alumni Association, Australia (Open to all, about 30 Scholarships)

2.  AMU Alumni Association, California (Open to all, about 150 Scholarships)

3.  The Aligarh Alumni Association Washington DC

i)        14 Scholarships specific for students from ASSAM (Endowed by Mr. Zouqul Choudhary)

ii)       07 Sabah Memorial Scholarships (Specific for Law Students. Endowed by Mrs. Akhtar Quraishi & Dr. Sayeed Quraishi)

iii)     86 Scholarships (open to all) Endowed by different individuals.

iv)     03 Scholarships (open to all) Endowed by Mr. S. A. Raza.

4.      Sultan Jahan Begum Scholarship (Oman, open to all, about 60 Scholarships)

5.      Dr. S. M. Raza & Others Scholarships (Muscat, open to all)

6.      Dr. E. R. Ansari Scholarships (Abu Dhabi, open to all, about 8 Scholarships)

6.      Begum Khalida Naheed & MSUS’ Scholarship (open to all)

 

Eligibility:

 

i)                   Highly Meritorious & Economically Needy (Min. Average marks 65%)

 

ii)             Applicant should not be in receipt of any Scholarship/Financial Aid of more than Rs. 200 pm from any other source.

 

iii)               M. Tech. & B.E. students and M.Phil/Ph.D. Scholars shall not be considered.

 

Application forms may be obtained from the office of the MSUS  upto to August 23, 2007, between 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  Forms can also be down loaded from this site.

 

Instructions

For

Filling up Scholarship Application Form

 

There is One Common Application Forms for all the Scholarships. Candidates should fill up one Application Form and attaché only one set of Marksheet and Other documents.

 

While filling up Application the following points must be kept in mind.

 

1.      Use Black Pen and legible capital letters. Illegible and carelessly filled-in-Applications are liable to be rejected.

2.      Educational Qualification must be entered in order as per application.

3.      Percentage of marks must be accurate upto two place after decimal.

4.      Some Boards for the improvement of division include certain marks of additional subject in the total marks (Numerator) without corresponding addition in the Denominator. In such cases while calculating percentage either the additional marks be deducted from the Numerator or corresponding addition in the Denominator be made.

5.      Those students who have received Scholarship/financial assistance during last years must indicate information in the prescribed column, failing which continuation shall not be possible.
